Miss Viji (2016 - Present)


She received her Montessori teaching degree at the New England Teacher Montessori Education Center (NEMTEC). She has an associate degree in Early childhood education from MassBay College, MA. She recently earned her BA in Early childhood Education with a minor in psychology from Lesley College, MA. 
She has been working at CMS since September 2013. She has also acquired extensive teaching experience through numerous internships done in various preschools. For example, she worked for more than 6 months at the Wellesley Community Children Center (WCCC) at Wellesley College.
She loves learning with the little ones, who are fantastic little gifted children. Good interaction with them is critical to prepare her curriculum and stimulating environment. She enjoys playing with them during the afternoon activities and nurture their curiosity. 

Lucie Varatharasa

Founder, Owner and Director

Mother of three, Miss Lucie was born in Sri Lanka and raised in France. Since graduating college, she has worked and lived in Mumbai, Melbourne, London, Paris, and Stockholm. Spending time with kids, however, is her life’s passion.  In 2004, she went on to complete the Montessori primary teacher credential program in Paris, France. She spent the next two and half years teaching at an AMI certified Montessori school in San Diego, California, where she met her husband Steve. In 2008, she moved to Boston to pursue a MBA at Babson College and founded the Community Montessori School in 2010.  She loves building relationships with her students while teaching them the skills necessary to be independent and helping them to find their own voice.

​​​​​​​​​​Vicky was born and grew up in South Korea.  She majored Ceramics & Fiber Arts in Seoul Women’s University in Seoul, and became a shoe designer. She later earned a master’s degree of fine arts in Design and Technology from Parsons School of Design in New York. She worked at Sephora.com and other web design companies as a web designer in New York. After becoming a mother of two daughters, Vicky became interested in children’s education.  She taught at New England Korean School for five years before becoming a Montessori teacher.  She earned an American Montessori Society (AMS) primary classroom teaching certificate from New England Montessori Teacher Education Center (NEMTEC) as well as a master’s degree of Montessori education from Gordon College in Massachusetts.  She has been teaching in Montessori environment for 6 years.  She also is a certified origami instructor! She loves to bring new materials to the classroom and shares ideas with children. Vicky believes in helping children grow by discovering their own love for learning.

MIss Minyi is from China where she received a Bachelors in Chinese Language and Literature. She taught middle school for over fourteen years. She has acquired extensive teaching experience in many schools, including at the University of Beijing. She has three grown up children. She has been with CMS for one year.

Miss Julie has been an infant teacher since 2001 and graduated from the MassBay Community College.

Miss Bianca is currently completing her undergrad at UMass Amherst and has been in early childhood since high school as part-time helper.

​Born and raised in India, Miss Viji majored in mathematics at the University of Madras, India where she worked as an accountant. She and her husband relocated to Oman for ten years before moving to the US.  She is AMS Montessori certified through the New England Montessori Teacher Education Center in 2017.  She is currently finishing her Masters in Education at Gordon College, MA. Miss Viji loves to make arts and crafts, paint, sew, cook, and she is passionate about sharing these activities with her students.  She loves inspiring students to tackle new or challenging curriculum and is continually impressed by their independence and inquisitiveness.
